By using UKSecurityJobs.co.uk or the UKSecurityJobs application, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.
1. About Us
UKSecurityJobs.co.uk ("the Platform") is operated by Digital Software Group Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. References to "we", "us" or "our" refer to Digital Software Group Ltd.
The Platform connects SIA-licensed security professionals ("Candidates") with security employers ("Employers"). We are an introduction service — we are not a recruitment agency and we are not party to any employment contract between Candidates and Employers.
2. Eligibility
Candidates
- You must be aged 18 or over
- You must hold a valid SIA licence for the role type(s) you wish to apply for
- You must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom
- You must provide accurate and complete information at all times
Employers
- You must be a legitimate security company, in-house security team or authorised recruitment agency
- You must be registered or authorised to operate in the United Kingdom
- All job postings must be for genuine vacancies requiring a valid SIA licence
3. Candidate Responsibilities
As a Candidate, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information in your profile at all times
- Notify us immediately if your SIA licence expires, is revoked or is suspended
- Notify us immediately if your right to work in the UK changes
- Not misrepresent your qualifications, experience or work history
- Not create multiple accounts
- Keep your account credentials secure and not share them with any third party
- Update your availability status regularly so employers have accurate information
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently remove any Candidate profile where inaccurate information is found. Providing false information in connection with a security industry application may constitute a criminal offence.
4. Employer Responsibilities
As an Employer, you agree to:
- Only post genuine vacancies for roles that legally require an SIA licence
- Not use Candidate data for any purpose other than assessing them for the specific role applied for
- Handle Candidate personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018
- Not share Candidate profile data with any third party without the Candidate's consent
- Not contact Candidates for roles other than those they have applied for without their permission
- Comply with all applicable employment law, including right to work verification
- Accurately represent the role, pay rate, hours and conditions in all job postings
- Delete Candidate data within 12 months of a rejected application
5. SIA Licence Verification
We verify SIA licence numbers against the publicly available SIA licence register. A "Verified" badge on a Candidate profile indicates that we have confirmed the licence was valid at the time of verification. It does not guarantee the licence remains valid at the time of application. Employers must conduct their own right to work and licence checks before engaging any Candidate.
We accept no liability for any losses arising from reliance on licence verification status displayed on the Platform.
6. BS7858 Vetting
The term "BS7858 ready" on this Platform means that a Candidate has provided the information required to begin a BS7858 vetting process — including 5-year employment history, address history and reference contacts. It does not mean that vetting has been completed or passed. Employers are responsible for conducting their own BS7858 vetting using the information provided.
7. Payments
Candidate registration is free. Employer job posting services are subject to fees as displayed at the time of purchase. All fees are quoted exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed securely. We do not store payment card details.
Job posting fees are non-refundable once a posting has gone live, except where required by consumer law.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform — including text, design, logos, software and structure — is owned by Digital Software Group Ltd or its licensors and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works without our written permission.
Candidate profile data remains the property of the Candidate. By submitting data to the Platform, you grant us a limited licence to process and display that data for the purposes of operating the Platform.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Digital Software Group Ltd shall not be liable for:
- Any employment decisions made by Employers based on information provided through the Platform
- Any losses arising from inaccurate information provided by Candidates or Employers
- Any indirect, consequential or special damages arising from use of the Platform
- Any interruption, suspension or termination of the Platform
Our total liability to you shall not exceed the fees paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at any time if these terms are breached. You may close your account at any time by contacting our contact form. Upon account closure, your personal data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.
